Restoring Dad's 1946 2N Ford Tractor

Welcome to the Restoration of John Kandel's 1946 2N Ford Tractor

I am Wally Kandel, 7th child and 5th son of John and Mickey Kandel. Dad bought this tractor along with 9 acres of land in Louisville, Ohio in the 1960's. He built a house there in 1970 when I was 6, and that is where we grew up. The tractor was used for plowing, mowing and other light farming type activities. My first memory of the tractor is sitting between Dad's legs with my feet sitting next to the gear shift riding with him, I was pretty young. I also remember spending hours on it with my other siblings pretending to drive it while it sat in the corn crib. Be sure to check out the "Our Story" and "Photo Gallery" sections of the website. Many of the pictures in the "Photo Gallery" have some caption, you have to click on the photo to read it.

Finished: October 2009

The starting point: November 2008

Here is a picture of me and Dad on a drilling rig in the Gulf of Mexico. This was 1989. Unfortunately we have been unable to find any pictures of Dad and the tractor. Thanks for looking Mom. I posted some other pictures with Dad in them in the "Photo Gallery" Section.
